According to a preliminary study to be presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s 72nd Annual Meeting, scientists are claiming that over the counter CBD should not be taken by epilepsy sufferers.

With so many people out there self-medicating, we have to ask Why? The study claims that “children and teens taking artisanal CBD had a 70% increase in seizures while taking prescription CBD had a 39% reduction in seizures.” The culprit, as usual, is THC, which can be found in artisanal but not pharmaceutical CBD.

We suspect this also holds true for Isolate Vs. Broad Spectrum Vs. Full Spectrum. We would suspect that full-spectrum products would trigger the same seizures as the “artisanal” CBD in the study. As always, consult your doctor.
